Facebook acquired Instagram for 1 billion bucks

If you have a Facebook page, you may have ran into many people that are using Instagram for their pictures. That is because Facebook recently just purchased Instagram. Facebook paid $1 billion for Instagram. That $1 billion that Facebook paid, includes both cash and stock. The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg posted this on his Facebook page just recently. Facebook wants its users to have the best time when it comes to posting up photos to share with their friends and family members. The app will also be growing independently, while they continue to work on some of the features included on Instagram.

There are certain features that Facebook intends to keep within this app. It actually allows for the photos to be published on many other social networks as well. People that are not even your Facebook friends will even have the ability to follow others. In October of 2010, Instagram released an iOS app and ended up even recently coming to Android. This is known to be the very first time that Facebook has ever been apart of a company or even product having so many users on the site. This is definitely a great app to try if you are a Facebook user.

One of the main goals for Facebook is to try and provide their users with the best photo sharing experience, and that was their reason of buying Instagram. This is one of the reasons why many people love and use Facebook, to be able to share photos with their friends and family members. They even stated that they knew it would be well worth it trying to combine both of these companies together. This app will definitely boost the social network, especially as it begins to improve, and new features are added. There are a lot of things yet that still need to be accomplished.
